So you are playing a game on your Sony PSP, and you just get to a point that you cannot get past. The big boss is really getting you, or you are being overwhelmed by swarms of enemies. When you have given up on replay after replay, its time for you to get the advantage over the enemy and cheat.

In most games there is some sort of “back door” or secret code, to change the game in your favor. It will make you stronger, give you better weapons, skip a part, or even make you invincible. Depending on the way the game was developed, there can be different ways of attaining a cheat. This is assuming that the developer added the option to cheat. Not all PSP games will have cheat codes, when that happens you will have to look up whats known as a walk-through and see step by step how its done. A Walk-through is a form of cheating itself because you know what items you need, and what you need to do, and the best way to do it to win the game.

Assuming that there are cheats for your game, there are different ways to imply those cheats and get an advantage. They could be a combination of the PsP’s buttons that unlocks the cheat itself, a certain menu in the game where you input a code to activate the cheat, or even a menu to activate cheats that get unlocked by performing certain actions in the game. Some places even offer whats called game saves. These are the actual save file for your PSP, that you download. Game saves would be more for you if you are technically inclined. You have to download the save file, then transfer it over to your PSP via the usb port built into it. These can get you past a certain part, or even start the game full powered.

PsP Cheats, walk-through files, and game saves are readily available all over the internet, by simply going to a search engine of some sort, and putting the title of your game with “cheats” after the title. Example – “psp little big planet cheats” There are wide variety of gaming sites that offer information on cheats and walk-through text files.

Tired of trying to get past a level in your favorite video game but getting nowhere? Well there are ways you can get around it! Game cheat codes are available on many internet sites. How game cheat codes work is once you find the one you want, it will list a series of arrows, letters, buttons etc you need to push in a certain order.

Once on a website for cheat codes you go through and find your game console you are currently using. Then scroll through until you find the game in which you would like to find codes for. Some sites are backwards where you pick your game first and then your console it just depends on the site but it’s pretty easy to figure out once you are there. Click on the game/console and there will be a list of different type of cheats.

For example, some codes unlock certain items your character may have, others may get you extra money. There are even some codes that unlock everything! So you go through and find which code you want, and read to see where your game should be at when you are entering the codes. Usually they want you on the main screen. Once you enter the codes you should usually hear a weird ding or some other type of noise. You may then begin to play and your cheats should be effective.

There is no rule on how many times you may try cheat codes so if you screw up, feel free to try again! Also keep in mind if one site doesn’t have your game listed, that doesn’t mean that another site won’t. Be sure to check various sites when browsing for cheat codes as some may have more than others and some may have less or more games and even more consoles to choose from. Some sites may list the newer more popular games in the front so if that happens to be what you are playing it will be even easier access for you to find.

For readers from age 8 and up, the Cipher Slide and the Secret Message Kit provide the reader with information about many different kinds of secret ciphers. The “Handbooks”, for readers 11 and up, also have a computer diskette with many programs for using the ciphers described in the books. In addition, there are programs that can be used to “break” secret coded messages. Also, an unique feature of the SECRET CODE BREAKER series is actual secret messages from real spies that can be “broken” using these computer programs.

Also, there is a FREE Keyword Cipher Cracker program that can be downloaded. This program was written by Peter Conrad (there is a link to Peter’s website on the Author’s page). This program will “break” many secret messages that have been enciphered with a Keyword Cipher.

Monoalphabetic Substitution Cipher Solver – This is a FREE Zip file download of a program package that contains everything needed to crack most monoalphabetic substitution ciphers (cryptograms).
Polyalphabetic Crypto Program – This is a FREE Zip file download that contains a Visual Basic program and an Instruction text file. The program performs polyalphabetic encryption and decryption using a cipher alphabet of any desired sequence and character content of up to 39 characters in length. The key has no length limitation. This program is particularly useful for performing encryption and decryption when a cipher alphabet is being used that is different from the usual Vigenere 26 character alphabet. It also allows a ‘codemaker’ to create a polyalphabetic cipher system of his own design. In addition, a crib dragging function has been added to enable the user to crack many polyalphabetic ciphers when the cipher alphabet and a plaintext word is known. The PolyAlphabetic Crypto Program is extremely flexible and a very useful crypto tool. It was written for Secret Code Breaker by David Smith. The program display is illustrated here PolyAlpha Crypto program screen.

Secret Code Breaker Steganography Program. – This is a FREE Zip file download that contains a Windows program (Instructions can be found in the Help menu), a bit map image file (for hiding an encrypted message) and example text files. The program performs monoalphabetic encryption and decryption using a keyword to create a 26 character cipher alphabet and hides ciphertext in a bit map image file. This program is intended as a teaching aid in the understanding of how basic computer steganography works. The SCB Steganography Program is extremely easy to use and very useful for understanding computer based steganography. It was written for Secret Code Breaker by Tom Jones, Vice-President, SigmaSIX LLC an engineering and manufacturing company located in the Detroit, Michigan area. The program display is illustrated here Steganography program screen.

The program performs word look-ups based on the letter pattern of monoalphabetic encryption. There is also a ‘crib’ function for cases in which one or more letters of the unknown word are known, thus narrowing down the possibile results. This program was written for Secret Code Breaker by Christopher Patuzzo, a 16 year old British lad that recently won a scholarship based on his programming skills.
